Submission Guidelines
Fiction Submissions:  Include a one-page query letter, a one-page synopsis, the first 30 pages, and a bio with your credentials. Include any MFA programs, publications, and awards or grants in your credentials.  Do not send entire manuscripts unless requested.

Non-Fiction Submissions:  Include a one-page query letter, a bio with your education and expertise, and a description of what is unique about your approach to the subject matter. Do not send entire manuscripts unless requested.

All Submissions:

1. The query letter should be sent as text in an email, not as a attachment. Place the following in the subject line: the word “query,” your name, the word “fiction” or “non-fiction,” and the title of the work.

2. The material other than the query letter can be sent as attachments in Word or Word Perfect.

3. We do not accept manuscripts sent by surface mail, flash drives, or disks. We also do not accept unrequested manuscripts.

4. No phone queries or queries in person.

5. Expect a response from us within three weeks. If you don't hear from us in three weeks, contact us again.

Interested in
The agency especially welcomes Boomer writers and topics of interest to Baby Boomers. In addition to the listed genres, we are interested animals (especially all things equine), hobby farms, courtroom drama, West Virginia, New Orleans.
Not interested in
The agency does not represent horror, science fiction, children's lit, young adult, poetry, short stories, screen plays.
Additional information
In addition to traditional print media, the agency is interested in writers who want to consider e-books, multi-media books, and audio books—writers who are excited about the current and future world of publishing.

Joan Timberlake has an M.A. in English Literature and a J.D.  George has a B.A. in English Literature and an M.A. in Linguistics.
